Despite lots of hard work and careful planning, my garden was a bit of a flop this year. I suppose it didn’t bode well that we began the season with record flooding, including our property. The Spring was exceptionally wet and we were a little “late” getting the garden in. Once my seedlings were in the ground, the resident wood chuck decided to make it his dinner. I replanted everything and secured the fence and things went well from there for a while. Then we started getting bugs. I think we had every garden bug imaginable! Our crops were small yielding and somewhat disappointing. But we did get a little bit of everything, and harvested a heap of knowledge.
